Abstract: ZK Corporation is a Chinese company that specializes in the development and manufacturing of industrial automation controlling system and device. It has become the most well-known Chinese company in this field and started participating in the competition on global marketplace. Since 2002, ZK’s foreign business has made significant progress. However, crisis underlying the prosperity make the future unknown. With the technology gradually becoming mature, clients upgrading their needs and the shifting of profit center caused by such change, it is becoming more and more obscure whether the current product line and business model of ZK would support its further ambition in foreign markets. In order to take initiative to meet emerging demands and occupy favorable position in the global industry chain, ZK needs to re-assess its foreign business strategy by reevaluating foreign market opportunity, as well as designing effective competitive strategy and organizational structure correspondingly to capture the opportunity.
